Our relaxed and comfortable family home in Ashgrove is ready to welcome you as a homestay guest. Our home has 3 bedrooms plus a separate studio, 2 bathrooms, TV room, sitting room and two outdoor areas for eating and relaxing. The living areas of the house have air-conditioning and we have a beautiful freshwater swimming pool.

Your private bedroom has
a comfortable queen sized bed with clean linen provided every week,
a bedside table and lamp,
a study desk, chair and desk lamp,
ceiling fan and heater provided in winter if needed,
plenty of storage room - drawers and hanging space in the closet,
easy access to the bathroom and powder room which you will share with my son.

We are an Australian family - Mum, 16 year old son and 22 year old daughter. Son is into gaming, reading, woodwork and comics. Daughter is into live music, art, reading and travel. We are all into cooking and cats!
Mum has lived overseas and understands the challenges, and excitement, of living in a new culture. We also have two very affectionate cats.

The house is in Ashgrove which is a very green, leafy suburb, popular with families and just 4km from the Brisbane CBD. We have a large park and creek across the road that has abundant wildlife - koalas, wallabies and lots of birds, and immediate access to lots of walking and cycling tracks. A bicycle is available for your use.

There are two nearby shopping centres each within 500 metres walk distance, offering supermarkets (Woolworths, Coles and Aldi) fruit shop, butcher, banks, pharmacies, restaurants and cafes. gymnasiums, cinemas, and medical centres.

Your homestay fee of $350 per week includes:
Private room as described above
Breakfast supplies

A bicycle to use

If you would like to exclude meals the price does not change but you can eat anytime with our family or in your own time. We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements eg. Gluten free, Lacrose free, Vegetarian diets.

Homestay fee is due at the beginning of each two week period.
Up front cost is 2 weeks homestay fee.

*2 weeks' notice must be given before moving out
*Any excessive damages must be paid for ie. if you break a cup that's okay! If you break the microwave that's not okay!
