We are a large, active and health-conscious family of 2 adults, 2 adult children, 2 school-aged children (2 boys and 2 girls) plus a much-loved dog. We have been hosting long-term homestay students since 2012 and have enjoyed the cultural interaction and benefits this provides for our children and our homestay guests. Mum is a busy homemaker and part-time Pilates instructor who enjoys cooking healthy, wholesome food for the whole family, maintaining a clean, safe and happy home, surrounded by greenery and nature. Homestay guests have the opportunity to live in a classic Queenslander in a central Brisbane suburb, only 5-minutes bus-ride into the centre of Brisbane City. Our home is located close to many major Brisbane facilities, such as the Royal Brisbane Hospital, University of Queensland Dental and Medical Schools, Victoria Park (and golf driving range), Queensland University of Technology Kelvin Grove, and Ballymore (home to Queensland Rugby Union). If you enjoy riding a bike or electric scooter, we are right on the Brisbane Bikeway with access to many more parts of Brisbane. The room we have available is located downstairs to the main house with private access, plus a dedicated, fully-furnished living space, bathroom, toilet and shower-room, kitchenette, television, refrigerator and washing machine. This level is shared with two young adult children, each with their own bedroom. Minimum stay is four weeks.
