Spacious Parkinson Home with Pool - Ideal for University & TAFE Students
About Our Family & Home
We are a warm, welcoming family of four living in a spacious four-bedroom home in Parkinson. Our household consists of two adults and our two teenagers (aged 15 and 17), making for an active, friendly, and supportive environment. We have years of experience hosting international students and love helping newcomers settle into Brisbane life, practice their English, and feel right at home.
Our house features comfortable shared living spaces, reliable high-speed internet, and a fantastic in-ground swimming pool that is perfect for relaxing during the warmer months. We live in a highly convenient pocket of Parkinson on Algester Road, where a great selection of local shops, cafes, supermarket and everyday essentials are less than a 5-minute walk from our front door.
Unbeatable Public Transport
Commuting from our home is exceptionally easy and stress-free. We have a major bus stop right outside our front door featuring high frequency services:
- Route 130 & 135: Direct, frequent routes straight to Griffith University (Nathan Campus), South Bank (TAFE & Griffith campuses), and the Brisbane CBD.
- Route 132: Direct connection to Westfield Mt Gravatt (Garden City) Interchange for easy transfers across the city.
- Route N130: Late-night weekend service for safe travel home from the city
Flexible Meals & Expert Dietary Care
Oue household is uniquely set up to cater to specific dietary requirements. Because our own family includes two coeliacs and two vegetarians, we are completely educated on cross-contamination, strict gluten-free safety, and healthy meat-free cooking. We enthusiastically welcome vegetarian, gluten-free, or coeliac students.
We are flexible and can tailor our meal arrangements to your preferences:
- Dinner Only Plan: We provide a nutritious, home-cooked dinner every night, and you manage your own breakfast and lunches.
- Full Meals Plan: We provide everything you need. Breakfast is a self-serve setup of toast and cereals. For lunch, we provide all the fresh food and ingredients you need to pack your own lunch to take to campus, exactly the same way own high school children do.
We look forward to welcoming an independent adult student into our home and family routine!
