Homestay in Highgate Hill for $350 per week

We will have two rooms available from February 2026.

We provide lovely rooms, suitable for students, in a traditional Queensland home. Our guests have access to large living spaces, two full bathrooms, laundry and a large deck. We like to create a warm environment by engaging with our students , sharing meals together and when possible including them in family celebrations and events.

Our home is in the inner city suburb of Highgate Hill in Brisbane, which is only two and a half kms from the city centre. There is easy access to all major universities and colleges as well as the city centre. A small bus stop is only 150m from of our home and major bus and train stations are just a 5 minute walk. If you prefer to cycle there is good access to bikeways. We are a short walk from Southbank Parklands and the cultural precinct which includes theatres, the museum, science centre and art galleries. Trendy West End is only one km to the west while the famous Gabba Cricket grounds are one km to the East.

Our family has older children (young adults), some of which no longer live at home, and 2 dogs - Oscar and Arthur. We are an experienced host family having hosted many adult students from a variety of cultural backgrounds. We find it a very rewarding experience and enjoy having the cultural diversity in our home.
The rent includes a furnished double room with built in wardrobe and draws, linen, internet, other utilities and access to laundry. We provide a self serve breakfast and a cooked dinner.
