I am from China and I have decided to pursue my second master's degree at QUT. After graduating in 2018, I have been working for approximately five years in Shanghai and Shenzhen, which are bustling cities. Due to the high cost of renting an entire apartment by myself, I have always opted to live with roommates and have successfully maintained harmonious relationships with them. In fact, I lived with my roommates for four years in Shenzhen, and we were content with our living arrangement.
Currently, I am employed at the Shanghai branch of a UK company and will continue working remotely while studying at QUT. Considering my stable cash flow and savings, I am confident in my ability to afford the rent.
The reason I have chosen a homestay is because it offers a unique opportunity to experience Australian culture firsthand. By living with a local family, I will have regular interactions with native English speakers, which will greatly enhance my language skills and fluency. Moreover, I believe that I will be able to establish a positive rapport with my host family, as I am confident in my ability to get along well with them.
