Hi. My name is Cathy. I’m currently living in Darwin with my husband and two kids aged seven and nine. I’ve been away from Brisbane for 12 years, it is my home and now it is time to come home! We are looking to live in Ashgrove or it’s vicinity, as I like all the schools in the area. The trouble is of course finding a place to live that is in the catchment area. The idea of a homestay occurred to me this morning, it just popped into my head! Essentially we don’t really have any family or friends to share with when we move, well I have my parents but they are very far south and it would make looking for a property difficult. I also as I mentioned need to have a property somewhere in the vicinity of the schools that I would like my kids to go to. Staying in a homestay for a month might be just the perfect thing for us to make this tricky move from Darwin to Brisbane. Is this something you think might be viable? I currently am lucky enough to work from home, and my two kids if I must say are quite amazing and would definitely be able to share a room.
